An Urban Engagement - Leane + Patrick

After 15 years, 3,000 miles, hundreds of phone calls, dozens of plane flights and one big cross-country move, Leane and Patrick are finally getting married!!  Having met while 19 year-olds at Santa Barbara City College, they continued their relationship when she transferred to USC.  Sadly though, things ended.  But that is not the end of the story, obviously.

A few years ago, Leane and Patrick reconnected through the magical gift that is Facebook.  Their friendship rekindled, and eventually, so did their romance.  The only problem: Patrick was in Savannah, GA, while Leane was here in Los Angeles.  After a couple of years, Patrick took the plunge and moved to L.A. to be with Leane, and shortly afterwards proposed.

I had seen Leane announce her engagement on Facebook and was so excited when she asked me if I would photograph her wedding in May 2013, and her engagement session.  I was even more excited when she and Patrick told me they wanted to do something more urban and downtown.

It was an incredibly hot August day, but Patrick and Leane managed to look cool and very in love throughout the entire session.  They are adorable and had fun goofing around along with being all lovey dovey.  Photographing them that day made me even more excited for their wedding.  May cannot come soon enough!
